Job Posting: Service Technician
Overview
Bobcat of Hamilton is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our growing service team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who takes pride in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment to the highest standards. The successful candidate will work closely with the Service Advisor and Shop Foreman to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality service for our customers while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of equipment with efficiency and precision
- Perform setup and pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of new equipment
- Accurately record all time, labour, and materials for each service job
- Complete all required manufacturer documentation related to repairs and service work
- Communicate job status, findings, and updates clearly with the Service Advisor and/or Shop Foreman
- Maintain, organize, and care for shop tools and equipment
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times
- Participate in ongoing training programs as prescribed by the Service Manager
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Experience
- Relevant trade license required
- Red Seal Journeyman license preferred (or equivalent experience will be considered)
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding work
- Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when required
